I just got fascinated when I saw this models on a Art&Design store in Tokyo.
They are just wonderful. Why not use a lazy Sunday and not bring them into life?

Cherry blossom by Naoki Terada

 

Terada Mokei is a miniature design line created by architect and designer Naoki Terada. In his models he show us the everyday life where the family, always present, can be seen in different scenarios. From resting under beautiful cherry trees, to siting home, listening to a classic concert or  just walking in the streets from Tokyo, New York or Amsterdam. This all in a 1/100 scale.
Everything is just the way it has to be. Even a little imperfection make it real. His eye for the details make him this amazing designer he is.

Each kit is made of heavyweight tant paper, but is tiny enough to fit in your hand.
Despite its small size, it is sturdy and long-lasting. Putting it together is a fun project on its own, taking about 90 minutes of care to assemble. Info via Ahalife

Marikiska

MARIKISKA in Tokyo is the combination of Marimekko and Kiska (Kiosk in finish) and is a temporary shop that introduces new perspectives on Marimekko's design philosophy by exhibiting new products and hosting experimental sales events in a gallery setting.

Marikiska in Tokyo was open only for five days till Nov 4th 2012.
Japanese architect Jo Nagasaka from Schemata Architects designed the shop interior.

From Japan with love

I've been in love with Scandinavian design since a few years now. I've always liked to decorate and change constantly my interior at home. I also helped friends and family decorating theirs.
Since 2008 i held Lovemoments where I posted and reblogged everything I liked. Since i moved to Japan last September, I've been wanting to combine both styles.
Scandinavia meets Asia. This is how Scandinasian by Lendalia has born. I hope you enjoy!!!!

I took this pictures last month in Tokyo when i visited this exposition at the Swedish embassy in Tokyo.

The exhibition is characterized by the unique collaboration between family members. The light and patterns combinations, the dalarna horses and the kokeshi dolls make it very Scandinasian. If u want to read more about this exposition and about Stina, Anna and Pompe
