The Calmtree bungalows - Bali

The Calmtree bungalows is one of those places that you would like to keep only for yourself. But as I believe true happiness should be shared, I will guide you today through the beautiful place I stayed at last July.
It is opened since March this year and Gede, the owner, has made from his bungalows one of the most cozy, peaceful and relaxed places I visited this summer.
It is situated in the Canggu beach in Bali, in a real surfers paradise. Canggu and Echo beach are just a few minutes away.

The rustic in balinese style designed bungalows offer everything you need. The room is simple and charming. The bed is comfortable and you will find everything you need for a good night rest, after a day surfing or discovering the island.
The mosquito net and repellent that are provided in every room will keep the mosquitos away (at least it worked really good for us). The shower is outside, what at the first sight may look a bit strange, but this is Bali, so isn't supposed to be like that? And if you ask me showering under the moon is definitely something special. The  garden is beautiful and well kept, and the swimming pool is just a bless for early and late swims. Just what you need in between your activities.
Every bungalow has their own veranda and i loved the fact that they even thought about putting some electricity plugs outside. In case you would like to work or charge your devices while laying in the great blue benches.  Not only a great and affordable holiday accommodation but also an amazing outdoors office! Just what you need, right?

Home leave - Asia meets Europe

Yesterday I flew to Europe to spend a nice holiday with family and friends.
In total I will be here 7 weeks and I will be visiting 7 countries. Germany, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, Belgium and Portugal. Am I meeting you somewhere?

The thing about being a German-Portuguese couple, who was living before we moved to Japan in The Netherlands and in Belgium makes us already having to visit 4 countries, during our home leave.
My husband and I love Scandinavia, where we will be attending in Lund the wedding of our lovely friends Karin & Christian. And to get to Lund we have to fly to Copenhagen. Once there we couldn't miss the chance to visit this beautiful and inspiring city one more time, right?

Further I'm looking forward to see Vienna for the first time, to enjoy Lisbon and the Algarve as much as I can.
My holiday will end up in Antwerp, where i will be seeing Alicia Keys live on concert. This is definitely the cherry on top of my cake! Nice things to look forward to!

I guess being in Japan made me realize how lucky we are in Europe. Where every country is so close to each other with so many possibilities to visit them all.

Have a great day!

From Japan with love

I've been in love with Scandinavian design since a few years now. I've always liked to decorate and change constantly my interior at home. I also helped friends and family decorating theirs.
Since 2008 i held Lovemoments where I posted and reblogged everything I liked. Since i moved to Japan last September, I've been wanting to combine both styles.
Scandinavia meets Asia. This is how Scandinasian by Lendalia has born. I hope you enjoy!!!!

I took this pictures last month in Tokyo when i visited this exposition at the Swedish embassy in Tokyo.

The exhibition is characterized by the unique collaboration between family members. The light and patterns combinations, the dalarna horses and the kokeshi dolls make it very Scandinasian. If u want to read more about this exposition and about Stina, Anna and Pompe
