Where to stay when in ... The Algarve

Bela vista Hotel & Spa

The winter is on it's way and even I do love Christmas, right now I'm longing for the three S's: Summer, Sun and Sea.  So why not dream a bit and make plans for next year holidays in Portugal?
One of the places that it's definitely a visit worth, is the Bela Vista Hotel & Spa. A great hotel and spa situated in Portimão, at Praia da Rocha and just about a 45 minute car drive from Faro's airport.
The hotel was a family house in the 19th century and a few years ago has been redecorated by Graça Viterbo, one of Portugal's most known interior designers.
The hotel is an immaculately preserved resort hotel where you can find relaxation and privacy surrounded by vibrant colours. Basking on the recliners around the very fine pool, or lounging on a beach with private access, this is the perfect place to while the time away. The murmur of the waves of the nearby ocean is a constant companion.
I was there last year in June and I can tell you, definitely the place to start when willing to discover this jewel we call Algarve - the region where I was born and raised. And don't forget to eat. We have have delicious food in Portugal!!!

Where to stay when...In Stockholm

I'm staring a new rubric called "Where to stay when...". My intention is just to show the different kind of hotels you can choose from. And a good night of sleep in a good bed is what everyone wants after wandering a whole day in a new city, right?
As new resident from Stockholm I will definitely post some of the nicest hotels in town. And today I present you...The Miss Clara Hotel.

The Calmtree bungalows - Bali

The Calmtree bungalows is one of those places that you would like to keep only for yourself. But as I believe true happiness should be shared, I will guide you today through the beautiful place I stayed at last July.
It is opened since March this year and Gede, the owner, has made from his bungalows one of the most cozy, peaceful and relaxed places I visited this summer.
It is situated in the Canggu beach in Bali, in a real surfers paradise. Canggu and Echo beach are just a few minutes away.

The rustic in balinese style designed bungalows offer everything you need. The room is simple and charming. The bed is comfortable and you will find everything you need for a good night rest, after a day surfing or discovering the island.
The mosquito net and repellent that are provided in every room will keep the mosquitos away (at least it worked really good for us). The shower is outside, what at the first sight may look a bit strange, but this is Bali, so isn't supposed to be like that? And if you ask me showering under the moon is definitely something special. The  garden is beautiful and well kept, and the swimming pool is just a bless for early and late swims. Just what you need in between your activities.
Every bungalow has their own veranda and i loved the fact that they even thought about putting some electricity plugs outside. In case you would like to work or charge your devices while laying in the great blue benches.  Not only a great and affordable holiday accommodation but also an amazing outdoors office! Just what you need, right?

Indigo hotel Shanghai on the Bund

I've been on my longest holiday ever! First seven weeks in Europe and now already for several weeks traveling in Southeast Asia. The thing is that i will continue doing this untill the end of September so at some point I will have to restart posting somethings on the blog!
In the beginning i thought i could write here once in a while but so far it didn't work out. The holiday has been a bless, I've been collecting so many experiences and so nice pictures from wonderful places, first from Europe and now from Asia, that it would be just a crime to not share with you. So I will try to post some pictures of those nice places on a regular basis.
Today I will  give you a peak of the beautiful boutique hotel I stayed at in Shanghai in July.
Beside the beautiful rooms and all the luxe that the Indigo hotel Shanghai
breaths, you will get one of the most amazing views over the Huangpu river. You can do this from your room or from the beautiful  Char bar (skybar) on the 30st floor of the same building. Enjoy the tour!
